Our system makes this possible, elevating heavy fuel oil treatment to a new level. On many ships operating with heavy fuel oil or low sulphur oil, poor viscosity and uneven particle distribution are commoneveryday challenges.
From around 380 cSt, combustion becomes more difficult as oil particles agglomerate into large droplets during the fuel delivery process. The result: high sludge discharge, more frequent maintenance intervals, and increased fuel consumption.
Our “REDUCER” is installed directly before the separator to break down large asphaltene chains. This process converts 80% of previously unusable heavy fuel fractions into directly usable fuel.
The system ensures consistently purified fuel and minimises the risk of deposits in engines and pipelines. Thanks to the recovery of a large portion of asphaltenes, the actual available fuel quantity on board increases. This gain leads to significantly higher thermal efficiency and reduces overall consumption.
